Summer of Art

July 6 - 31, 2020

一道本不卡免费高清Otis College Extension’s flagship youth program provides an unrivaled experience that will serve as a seminal moment in your teenager’s artistic development. This intensive, four-week, pre-college program is for individuals aged 15 years or older who wish to study at one of the top art and design colleges in the country. Serious young artists seeking to strengthen and enhance their art and design skills, as well as students with limited art training, are invited to participate.

Courses

Small classes ensure personalized, in-depth learning. Rigorous course work includes hands-on studio courses and labs in your chosen Specialization Course (three days per week) and/or Drawing Studio Course (two days per week). Classes meet 9:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. (Some outside work is required.) Two units of college credit for Specialization Courses and one unit of college credit for Drawing Studio Courses are awarded to eligible students upon successful completion of the program.

Evening Excursions

一道本不卡免费高清Visit popular Los Angeles destinations while getting to know classmates. Evening excursions are open to all Summer of Art students at no additional charge. These trips are designed to immerse students in LA's vibrant culture. Previously, trips have included seeing a movie at the famous El Capitan Theatre, Griffith Observatory, and the Santa Monica Pier.

Housing Program

Optional on-campus student housing is available for an additional fee for students between 15 – 18 years old who are enrolled in the full 5-day per week program. Otis College is located on the west side of Los Angeles, in one of Southern California’s most desirable communities. Students share furnished two-bedroom suite-style rooms with a common space and split bathroom. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance, plus the beach is very close by! A trained Resident Assistant (RA) resides on each residence hall floor providing supervision for Summer of Art residents. All resident students participate in organized evening and weekend activities such as trips to iconic LA attractions, variety shows, museum visits, and RA programing. Frequently Asked Questions

Register for the Summer of Art program online by completing the . Early enrollment is advised as spaces are limited. Once the registration form is complete you will receive payment instructions. Both registration form and payment are required for a complete registration for the Summer of Art program. Students must be registered by the first class meeting. Early enrollment is advised, as many Extension courses fill well before the first week of classes.
