The Otherworld: Performative Video

Taught by artist , this is a hands-on mixed media class where students plan a filmed performance involving the use of handmade props, sets and costumes. The project will be narrative-based and will embody fictitious characters as symbolic stand-ins for ones own alter-ego. One can work alone or collaborate.
Art in Context: New York Trip

Students will experience first-hand historical and contemporary aspects of the New York art world by traveling to the city for a week. They will meet and interact with leaders in the art world, and tour the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MOMA, PS1, The Whitney Museum, The Frick Collection, The New Museum, The Brooklyn Museum, Dia Beacon; galleries in Chelsea, Midtown, Lower East side and Brooklyn as well as individual artists’ studios.
